Learn about a number of unsustainable fishing challenges affecting our oceans today.

This geography lesson uses the film My Dad the Fisherman as a starting point, as learners consider how people use, modify and change the ocean ecosystem to obtain food. Learners will examine some of the ways in which fishers try to look after the oceans and what sustainability means for the future of our oceans.

Bush Nippers is a regional and rural inland adaptation to coastal nipper education programs and our successful lifesaving education program, which aims to build lifesaving and water safety knowledge and skills of children aged 5 to 14 years in open water environments.
