Harry Breidahl
About
Harry is legendary when it comes to Ocean Literacy and has been actively involved in the education space since 1970. He established the Tooradin Marine Life Centre, is the founding member of the Marine Education Society of Australasia (MESA) and the International Pacific Marine Educators Network (IPMEN). In 1982 Harry started his own company, Nautilus, Education, where he worked as a natural history author (he has published over 100 books), exhibit designer and environmental education consultant. He was also a teaching associate in the Education Faculty at the Peninsula Campus of Monash University between 1989 and 2014. Although retired from formal employment, Harry is still actively engaged in promoting ocean literacy here in Australia and internationally and has received a number of local and international awards for his work in this field.
