BeachPatrol and Love Our Street are litter collection volunteer groups in Victoria, operating in 40+ postcodes. Groups meet monthly to pick up plastic litter from local beaches, streets or parks and meet like-minded people who are passionate about preserving our environment, wildlife, marine life and ecosystems. The groups log their data in the LitterStopper app, which feeds into our litter collection database and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action's LitterWatch database. Save Western Port Woodlands
Save Western Port Woodlands was established in 2020 when the Bass Coast community became aware of the threat posed by a surge in sand mining operations and applications in the coastal woodland corridor along the eastern side of Western Port. There are currently 10 sand mines operating in Western Port Woodlands with another 9 work authorities approved and seven under application. The Bellarine Catchment Network (BCN) comprises representatives from key catchment and coastal organisations (both government and non-government) with an integrated catchment management focus. This includes environment groups, ‘Friends Of’, Landmanagers, Landcare and Coastcare groups. BCN employees seven officers to implement the projects of the committee. The Balcombe Estuary Reserves Group Mt Martha is a friends group formed to preserve and restore the unique ecology of the Balcombe Estuary and Reserves. We remove weeds, plant indigenous species, monitor water quality, tackle drainage and sedimentation issues, engage schools and universities, conduct community education, talk to local groups, lobby government and much more.

Otway Ocean Care
Otway Ocean Care is a non-profit group based in Apollo Bay and made up of a team of volunteers focused on citizen science, education, and conservation of local marine life.
