Fishing with your Feet – Kuti Fishing on Ngarrindjeri Country
Learners will learn about pipi, or kuti fishing practices by the Ngarrindjeri people in South Australia. Students will explore concepts of working on lands and waters, care for Country, and connections with place.
Food: Different by Design
This 40-60 minute lesson for ages 12+ will introduce learners to some of the ways that seafood production can be designed for a more sustainable future. Learners will discover some of the innovations being made in aquaculture and wild fishing to help reduce pollution and entanglements with marine wildlife.
Catalyst: Nautical Robots

Blue The Film: the Decline of Our Oceans
This unit uses clips from Blue to inspire learning about the ocean and the impact of human behaviour on its health. Lessons incorporate mindfulness, storytelling, drama, music, design thinking, scientific inquiry, and marine turtle conservation.
Marine and Freshwater Discovery Centre
Our facilities include a visitor's aquarium, student laboratory and classroom and is surrounded by a diverse range of habitats, ideal for field activities such as rock pool rambles and mudflat activities within our intertidal zones.
