Ocean Life Education: Ocean literacy is an understanding of the ocean’s influence on you – and the influence that you have on the ocean. The basic principles of ocean literacy do not fall within traditional science disciplines, they instead focus on integrated science.

Food Web investigation, endangered and invasive species, kelp forests, sustainability, conservation, indigenous culture and connection to country.  Includes student workbook, videos and teacher notes.

Our facilities include a visitor's aquarium, student laboratory and classroom and is surrounded by a diverse range of habitats, ideal for field activities such as rock pool rambles and mudflat activities within our intertidal zones.

These resource materials actively engaged children with the aid of graded readers with reading recovery levels, teacher's guides, big books, audio tapes, games and felt board characters which come to life in stories about sea safety and marine conservation.

Hands on activities.  Programs can be tailored to suit your learning goals and requirements.  Sessions available at schools, beaches or the Hastings Centre, Victoria.

You’ll become an expert in marine biological systems, and in the application of ecological principles and environmental management strategies.

Marine Biology deals with the biology of marine environments. Special emphasis is placed on the diversity, ecology and ecophysiology of marine organisms and the environments in which they live.
